Debi Mazar: Entourage set toxic, testosterone-fueled

Actress Debi Mazar has described the set of the HBO series "Entourage" as becoming a "toxic" and "testosterone-fueled environment" towards the end of its run. Mazar, who played publicist Shauna Roberts for all eight seasons of the show from 2004 to 2011, shared her experience in an interview published on Saturday, August 29. Mazar stated that while the first season was a "joyfest," the atmosphere shifted significantly by the third season. She attributed the change to a male-dominated environment, explaining that the set became difficult for her after she returned from maternity leave following the birth of her second daughter. According to Mazar, some colleagues reacted negatively to her post-pregnancy appearance, saying, "They didn’t like that I got fat," even after she regained her previous weight. The actress acknowledged that her outspoken nature and unwillingness to hide her discontent contributed to the complicated dynamic. However, she emphasized her professionalism throughout her tenure on the show, expressing gratitude for the opportunity. "It was a lot of fun, until it wasn’t," Mazar told the interviewer.
