DDCA reports corrupt approach to BCCI during Delhi league

The Delhi and District Cricket Association has informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India that wicketkeeper-batter Vansh Bedi reported a corrupt approach during the Delhi Premier League, according to DDCA officials. The disclosure comes after a sting operation raised separate match-fixing allegations involving former Ranji Trophy player Rachit Bhatia, claims that remain unverified. A senior DDCA officebearer said there was only one corrupt approach reported to the Anti-Corruption Unit during the tournament, and that Bedi immediately alerted the authorities after being contacted. The complaint was subsequently shared with the DDCA, which has formally written to the BCCI and is seeking the board's guidance on next steps. DDCA Secretary Ashok Sharma said the reported approach came from a player from Uttar Pradesh who was also playing in a state T20 league. Sharma added that the association registered the report as per protocol and assigned Security Liaison Officers to each of the eight teams during the tournament.
