Colts WR Keenan Allen arrested on DUI charges today

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen was arrested in downtown Indianapolis early Sunday morning, August 30, 2026, just hours after making his preseason debut with his new team. The 34-year-old veteran faces two misdemeanor charges of driving while impaired, according to jail records and local authorities. Allen was taken into custody at approximately 1 a.m. in the 100 block of South Meridian Street. The Marion County Arrestee Processing Center lists the charges as driving while intoxicated endangering a person and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more. He remained in custody as of Sunday morning. The arrest came after Allen played his first snaps for the Colts in a preseason finale against the Detroit Lions on Saturday, August 29. He started the game and caught a 24-yard pass from quarterback Anthony Richardson on the opening drive. The Colts signed Allen to a one-year contract worth up to $8.32 million about two weeks prior, reuniting him with head coach Shane Steichen, who coached him for seven years with the Los Angeles Chargers.
