CME Group to Launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures

Published 22 September 2026

CME Group plans to launch futures contracts tied to Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap on October 19, expanding its cryptocurrency derivatives lineup into two additional tokens, the exchange operator announced on Tuesday. The contracts remain subject to regulatory review by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the U.S. derivatives regulator that oversees CME. The exchange will offer both standard and Micro contract sizes. Bitcoin Cash futures will represent 250 BCH per standard contract and 25 BCH per Micro contract, while Uniswap futures will cover 10,000 UNI per standard contract and 1,000 UNI per Micro contract. CME said the products are being introduced in response to client demand as institutional investors seek ways to hedge exposure beyond Bitcoin and Ether. "As crypto markets continue to mature, participants require broader, regulated tools to navigate evolving digital asset related price risk," Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group's global head of cryptocurrency products, said in a statement. The additions extend an existing lineup that already includes futures on Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui.
