Clinton criticizes Trump, Netanyahu governments

Published 11 September 2026

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated she loves the United States and Israel but "hates" the governments and policies of President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The comments came during an interview on MSNBC's Morning Joe on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Clinton's criticism of Netanyahu centered on a report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz alleging that United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed warned Netanyahu before the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack that the militant group was planning a major operation. "I think we've got to be very clear, the messages we send, hopefully the Israeli people, especially after this bombshell that came out in the Israeli press, where Netanyahu had been literally called by Sheikh Mohammed, MBZ, from UAE, and warned that Hamas was planning something," Clinton said. She suggested Netanyahu either did not believe the warning or, "it's horrible to say, he wanted to see what they could plan so that then he could come down hard, and it would enhance his position.
