Clay raises $115 million at $7.1 billion valuation

Published 10 September 2026

Clay, a New York-based startup that builds artificial intelligence software for sales and marketing teams, has raised $115 million in a Series D funding round that values the company at $7.1 billion. Wellington Management led the round, which the company announced this week, with participation from Sequoia, StepStone, Andreessen Horowitz's Perennial fund, Meritech, DST, CapitalG, BoxGroup, Boldstart, Bloomberg Beta and Evolution. The new valuation represents a sharp climb for the company. Its previous round, a $100 million raise in August 2025, valued Clay at $3.1 billion, according to reporting by the New York Times. An employee tender offer in January reportedly put the company at $5 billion. Clay has not disclosed its revenue, so the higher valuation cannot be checked directly against sales. The New York Times reported that Clay's annualized revenue is on track to reach $200 million by the end of the quarter and that the company was briefly profitable earlier this year, figures the company has not itself confirmed.
