Clancy Defense Seeks Investigation Into Holdout Juror After Mistrial

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington has filed a motion seeking a formal investigation into the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial, which ended in a mistrial earlier this month. The motion, filed in Plymouth County Superior Court, requests that Judge William Sullivan conduct a limited inquiry into the juror, identified in court documents as Juror Doe and publicly named as Michael Desronvil. The defense's filing asks the court to preserve and review a wide range of jury records, including juror questionnaires, background check results, and sign-in sheets for jurors' cellphones during deliberations. Reddington specifically seeks Desronvil's record from the statewide domestic violence registry and asks prosecutors whether he has been a defendant, complainant, or subject in any matter over the past five years. The motion also requests a private review of the juror's phone records from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on each day of deliberations and a limited forensic examination of his phone.
