CJP Clash With Villagers Over Rajasthan School Inspection

A planned school inspection by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in a village near Jaipur turned confrontational on Friday, August 21, 2026, after residents and party workers opposed the visit, leading to allegations of an attack and a wider political dispute over access to government schools in Rajasthan. The incident occurred in Rampura Kanwarpura village in the Bagru Assembly constituency, where a CJP team, including coconvener Ashutosh Ranka, arrived as part of its "School Thik Karo" campaign. The group intended to inspect the local government primary school, assess its infrastructure, and interact with students and teachers. According to multiple reports, villagers had barricaded the main approach road before the team's arrival and were checking vehicles entering the area. A confrontation ensued, and the CJP activists were pushed out of the village. Following the initial clash, villagers staged a sit-in outside the school, raising slogans against the CJP. The school building has been closed to students after being declared unsafe, with classes currently being held in a nearby cattle enclosure.
