Veteran guard Chris Paul recently described his departure from the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2025-26 NBA season as "one of the most disrespectful things" he has endured. Paul rejoined the Clippers in July 2025, aiming to conclude his career near his family. However, his return was brief. After appearing in just 16 games, with the team holding a 5-16 record, Paul was informed on December 2, 2025, while the team was in Atlanta, that he was being sent home. This decision marked the effective end of his time with the Clippers. He was subsequently traded to the Toronto Raptors on February 4, 2026, waived eight days later, and announced his retirement on February 13, 2026, after a 21-year career.
