Child dies in unexplained Staffordshire woodland

A child has died in unexplained circumstances in woodland near Great Wyrley, Staffordshire, after emergency services responded to a report of a cardiac arrest on Saturday, September 5. The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. on land off Strawberry Lane in Cheslyn Hay, prompting a major response from police and ambulance crews. Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene, where the Midlands Air Ambulance also landed. Paramedics pronounced the child dead a short time after their arrival.
