A Chicago police officer and a woman were shot Monday morning during a SWAT response to a domestic violence and hostage situation in the Albany Park neighborhood. The officer, a 20-year veteran, was shot through a door and transported to a hospital, where he underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
