CBI Names 14th Accused in NEET-UG Leak Case

Published 14 October 2026

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a supplementary chargesheet naming Sheshrao Bajrang Suryavanshi as the 14th accused in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. A Delhi court has scheduled further proceedings for October 22. The filing was submitted to a special CBI court at Rouse Avenue. The court directed that a copy be provided to Suryavanshi’s counsel. The agency had previously filed a chargesheet against 13 other accused, which the court has taken cognisance of. The CBI alleges that Suryavanshi acted with co-accused Shubham Khairnar to provide examination questions to candidates in Nanded and collect money from candidates or their families. According to the agency’s allegations, candidates gathered at a location in Nanded to receive the questions. The CBI also alleges that Suryavanshi retained their original documents to secure payment after the examination. These are allegations in the chargesheet; the supplied information does not establish a court finding on them. The agency has said the supplementary filing incorporates forensic findings.
