Carrot Top Hospitalized Amid Alleged $500,000 Demand in Legal Dispute

Comedian Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalized on September 18, 2026, after a reported suicide attempt, and new court filings show his attorney had accused musician Brian Evans of demanding $500,000 while threatening to place an explicit recording of the comedian in a public court file. The filing stated that Evans, a former opening performer for Thompson's long-running Las Vegas show, demanded immediate payment of significant sums and that, absent payment, an explicit recording of Thompson would be filed in the public court file so it could be obtained and disseminated by the press and other parties.
