Carlson Calls for Trump Removal Over Nuclear Policy

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson called on Friday for the immediate removal of President Donald Trump from office if the president is actively considering the first use of nuclear weapons, marking a dramatic escalation in the public feud between the former allies. The remarks, made during a podcast interview, come as Carlson and other former Trump supporters have broken with the administration over its handling of the war in Iran. During a lengthy conversation with Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who resigned earlier this year in protest of the Iran conflict, Carlson stated that any consideration of a nuclear first strike should be an absolute red line. "The second any president actively considers first use of nuclear weapons, that person should be removed from office immediately, because that's got to be the red line, destroying all of humanity with a nuclear strike," Carlson said.
