Capital B Buys 376 BTC for $29.4 Million

Capital B, a French firm focused on Bitcoin treasury strategy, announced on Monday, September 7, 2026, that it has acquired 376 Bitcoin for €25.3 million (approximately $29.4 million). This acquisition marks the company's largest single purchase of the digital asset this year and significantly increases its total holdings. Following the transaction, Capital B's strategic reserves now stand at 3,521 Bitcoin, accumulated at an aggregate cost of $309.4 million. The average purchase price across all its holdings is $87,878 per Bitcoin. The most recent acquisition of 376 Bitcoin was made at an average price of approximately $67,300 per coin, representing a notable discount compared to the company's overall average cost basis. The purchase was funded through recent capital raises, including a $28.7 million private placement and a $1.44 million at-the-market (ATM) offering. Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, contributed an additional $7.6 million as part of the private placement, increasing his stake in Capital B to 17.64% on an ordinary share basis. The company was formerly known as The Blockchain Group and rebranded in July 2025 to emphasize its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
