The 22-year-old Senegal international was the subject of a £47 million agreement between Monaco and Chelsea in the closing hours of the September 1 deadline. However, Monaco reversed their decision to sell in the final moments, a move that left Chelsea furious and the player stranded. The dramatic U-turn was directly linked to the collapse of a separate deal involving Monaco striker Folarin Balogun. Monaco had also agreed a £42.5 million fee with Everton for Balogun, but concerns emerged during his medical examination. When Balogun's move to Everton fell through, Monaco pulled the plug on the Camara agreement to Chelsea, citing the need to retain their squad and financial position. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Camara addressed the situation for the first time. "It was a somewhat turbulent and difficult time. But that's part of a player's life," he said.
