Boston College Linebacker Bodie Kahoun Discharged After Injury

Boston College linebacker Bodie Kahoun was discharged from the hospital and returned to the team on Saturday after suffering a frightening injury during a game against Rutgers. The incident occurred in the second quarter of Friday night's contest at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Kahoun was injured while making a tackle on Rutgers running back Antwan Raymond. He remained on the field for several minutes as medical personnel from both teams attended to him. The 6-foot-2 redshirt sophomore was eventually taken from the field on a stretcher and transported by ambulance to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Before leaving the field, Kahoun gave a thumbs-up to the crowd, which responded with a loud ovation. Boston College later confirmed on social media that he had movement in all extremities and was being taken to the hospital for further evaluation. His father, Craig Kahoun, accompanied him in the ambulance. The school announced on Saturday that Kahoun had been discharged after an overnight stay for precautionary observation and has since returned to the team.
