Boseman’s Widow Disputes Brothers’ Estate Petition

Taylor Simone Ledward has denied allegations that she failed to distribute Chadwick Boseman’s estate as ordered, telling a Los Angeles court that she complied and that funds remain undistributed because an account was blocked. Her response contests a petition by Boseman’s brothers, Kevin and Derrick, who are seeking her removal as estate administrator and court-ordered distribution and accounting. No court ruling resolving the competing claims is reported. In a response filed September 24, Ledward also characterized the brothers’ petition as a public-relations effort to smear her. That is her position in the filing, not a finding by the court. She said she distributed estate assets except for an account she says the brothers’ legal action prevented her from accessing, and that she would distribute funds held back by a financial institution. The brothers allege that Ledward has not completed distribution nearly four years after an October 2022 court order. They ask the court to require her to provide a full accounting with receipts, distribute the remaining assets, remove her as administrator and consider holding her in contempt.
