Bord Gáis Energy to Raise Prices in October

Bord Gáis Energy will increase residential gas and electricity prices starting October 9, 2026, leading to higher annual bills for hundreds of thousands of customers. The company announced that typical annual bills for gas customers will rise by approximately €140, while electricity bills will increase by about €177. Dual-fuel households can expect an annual increase of around €317. According to Bord Gáis Energy, the price adjustments are necessary due to higher wholesale gas costs and increasing network charges.
