Bob Dylan Announces 39-CD Rolling Thunder Revue Box Set
Bob Dylan is set to release a comprehensive 39-CD box set titled "The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1976 Live Recordings" on November 6, 2026. The collection, announced by Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, will feature 381 tracks, with 371 of them previously unreleased. The release chronicles the second leg of Dylan's legendary 1976 Rolling Thunder Revue tour. The tour began on April 18, 1976, in Lakeland, Florida, and concluded on May 25, 1976, in Salt Lake City. It featured a rotating cast of collaborators, including Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, and Allen Ginsberg. Dylan's core band included bassist Rob Stoner, violinist Scarlet Rivera, drummer Howie Wyeth, and guitarists Mick Ronson, Steven Soles, David Mansfield, and T Bone Burnett. A separate 3LP vinyl set will also be released, containing the complete May 16, 1976, concert from the Tarrant County Convention Center Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. A preview track, a live version of "Going, Going, Gone" from that Fort Worth show, has been made available. The box set includes the complete audio from the May 23, 1976, performance in Fort Collins, Colorado, which was filmed for the NBC television special "Hard Rain.
