BlackRock Crypto Holdings Rise $15B in August on ETF Inflows
BlackRock's cryptocurrency portfolio expanded by more than $15 billion in August, driven by a sharp rally in Bitcoin and Ethereum prices and sustained investor inflows into its exchange-traded funds. According to data from blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, the asset manager's digital asset holdings climbed 28.3% to $68.48 billion as of August 31, up from $53.36 billion at the start of the month. The growth was largely fueled by BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, and spot Ethereum ETF, ETHA. IBIT holdings surged to $60.35 billion from $47.69 billion, while ETHA holdings rose to $8.12 billion from $5.67 billion.
