BitMine Acquires 53,501 ETH, Total Holdings Reach 5.9 Million

BitMine Immersion Technologies has significantly expanded its Ethereum holdings, acquiring 53,501 ETH over the past week to bring its total treasury to 5,901,112 tokens. The purchase, valued at approximately $131.3 million, marks the company's largest weekly acquisition since June and extends an unbroken buying streak that began on June 30, 2025. As of August 30, 2026, the company's Ethereum position represents roughly 4.9% of the cryptocurrency's total circulating supply of 120.7 million tokens. The latest acquisition follows a 32,447 ETH purchase the previous week, signaling a clear acceleration in BitMine's accumulation strategy after a slower pace during the summer months. Chairman Tom Lee noted that the company has now purchased ETH for 65 consecutive weeks. "Over the past week, we acquired 53,501 ETH," Lee said, adding that the firm has maintained its treasury strategy throughout the entire period.
