Bithumb Wins Two Court Rulings in Bitcoin Recovery Cases
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has secured two favorable court rulings in its effort to recover funds from users who sold Bitcoin mistakenly credited to their accounts earlier this year. The Seoul Central District Court ruled in Bithumb's favor on August 26 and August 27 in two separate lawsuits, ordering defendants to return proceeds from the sale of the erroneously credited digital assets. The decisions mark the first outcomes in a series of four civil lawsuits filed by the exchange. The ruling on August 27 concerned a claim for approximately 194 million won, while the decision on August 26 involved a smaller claim of about 5 million won.
