U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their strongest month of inflows in 2026 during August, drawing in approximately $3.52 billion as institutional demand surged alongside a significant price rally. The influx, which occurred across 16 of 21 trading days, marked a dramatic reversal from earlier in the year and coincided with Bitcoin's best monthly performance in nearly two years, gaining about 25% in value and testing levels above $80,000. By the end of August, the total net assets held by U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs had climbed to $99.61 billion, a 31% increase from July, while trading volume within the funds rose 49% to $58.63 billion.
