Bitcoin ETFs See $101M Inflow Sept 2

Published 4 September 2026

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds experienced a significant net inflow of $101.15 million on September 2, reversing a substantial outflow from the previous day. This marks a notable rebound, particularly as Bitcoin ETFs have seen increased institutional interest, while other digital asset ETFs, including those for Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, recorded net outflows on the same day. The inflows on September 2 were largely driven by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which attracted $115.45 million. Other funds contributing positively included Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust with $30.42 million, Morgan Stanley's MSBT with $7.3 million, and Bitwise's BITB with $4.19 million. However, Grayscale's legacy Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) continued to see significant withdrawals, shedding $56.21 million as investors reportedly rotate into lower-fee alternatives. Several other major issuers, such as Fidelity's FBTC, reported zero net flows for the day. This divergence highlights a trend where institutional capital appears to be gravitating specifically toward Bitcoin rather than digital assets broadly. On September 1, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively saw a net outflow of $35.29 million.
