Bishop Osório Citora Afonso of the Diocese of Quelimane in Mozambique was killed in a shooting at his official residence in the early hours of Saturday, June 6, authorities confirmed. The 54-year-old bishop died from gunshot wounds, according to the National Criminal Investigation Service in Zambézia Province.
