Big Brother 2026 launches with secret streamer mole twist
The 2026 series of Big Brother has launched on ITV2 with a major twist, introducing a secret streamer mole into the house. Manchester-based content creator Tays, part of The Bov Boys group, has been appointed as the show's first mole for the opening week. Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best introduced the new housemates on Sunday, September 13, with a live audience. According to reports, Tays must convince the other housemates he is a genuine contestant while secretly working to influence the game. In a significant power shift, he will nominate three housemates to face the first public vote. The twist also requires Tays to select one fellow housemate to become a mole and assist his mission. The series premiere saw housemates enter a newly redesigned house featuring a bold colour scheme of deep reds, greens, and blues, along with a new Diary Room chair shaped like the iconic Big Brother eye. The 2026 season is set to be the longest of the ITV era, running for eight weeks with 47 episodes. This extended format surpasses the episode count of previous series since the show's revival in 2023.
