Becky Hammon ejected after heated exchange with officials

Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon was ejected from her team's game against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night after receiving two quick technical fouls during a heated argument with officials at Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Dream secured a 97-82 victory, capitalizing on a commanding second-quarter lead that the Aces could not overcome. The ejection sequence unfolded midway through the second quarter with just over five minutes remaining. Hammon directed an outburst at sideline referee Amy Bonner following an Atlanta possession. Game reports indicate her frustration stemmed from a no-call on the previous play, where Aces center Aja Wilson drove to the basket and appeared to have her arm hit by defender Jordin Canada on a shot attempt. After the missed call, Bonner assessed Hammon a technical foul. Hammon then moved toward Bonner in anger, and despite efforts by Wilson and assistant coaches to hold her back, a second official, Roy Gulbeyan, issued the technical foul that resulted in her ejection. Before leaving the court, Hammon encouraged her bench and received cheers from the home crowd, with one fan high-fiving her as she headed to the locker room.
