Beartooth singer Caleb Shomo describes homophobia after coming out, divorce
Caleb Shomo, the frontman of the metalcore band Beartooth, has spoken publicly about facing significant homophobia after coming out as gay earlier this year, an experience he described as painful and isolating. The Ohio-based singer, 33, revealed his sexuality in a May 2026 Instagram post, stating he was a "proudly gay man" after privately coming to terms with his identity for some time. He had first shared the news with friends and family in September 2025. Shomo's public announcement came after 14 years of marriage to Fleur Shomo. The couple jointly filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court in July 2026.
