BCCI to consider Andaman and Nicobar associate membership at AGM

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold its 95th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on September 18, 2026, where it is set to formally consider granting associate membership to the Cricket Association of Andaman and Nicobar (CAAN). This move would mark the first step toward bringing cricket in the union territory under the national board's administrative framework. The proposal to affiliate CAAN has been under consideration for over a year. The process began after the Bombay High Court directed the BCCI to examine the request, a matter that was discussed during an Apex Council meeting on September 22, 2025.
