Back to Black anniversary concert set for London

A concert marking 20 years since Amy Winehouse’s album Back to Black is scheduled for October 21 at London’s Roundhouse, where the Amy Winehouse Band will perform the record in full with a lineup of guest vocalists. The event, titled Back to Black 20, has been announced by the band and the album’s collaborators; it has not yet taken place. The guest singers announced include Corinne Bailey Rae, FLO, Jessie Reyez, Jorja Smith, Lianne La Havas and Yebba, alongside Baby Rose, Nia Smith, Sasha Keable and Skye Newman. Album producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi are among those leading the event, with Winehouse’s longtime musical director Dale Davis and other album collaborators also involved. Ronson said he was honored to join the celebration with artists he considered worthy of performing Winehouse’s songs. Remi said he was looking forward to hearing the singers’ interpretations. The concert is being presented as a one-night event at the Roundhouse in Camden, a venue associated with Winehouse’s final public appearance in 2011, according to one account of the event announcement. Tickets are scheduled to go on general sale at 10 a.m. on October 1.
