Arteta and Arsenal backroom staff to sign new deals

Mikel Arteta is set to sign a new contract with Arsenal, and his entire backroom staff will also put pen to new deals, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano. Romano posted on X on Tuesday evening that not only is Arteta penning new terms, but all of his backroom staff will sign new contracts, with the agreements for those already done. Arsenal and Arteta have been aligned for some time on continuing together, with confirmation of a new deal described as a matter of when rather than if. No contract lengths, start dates or signing timelines have been disclosed, and the club has not issued an official confirmation of the report. Romano did not name the staff members covered by the new agreements. Among those speculated about in reporting of the announcement are Albert Stuivenberg, Arteta's number two for years; set-piece specialist Nicolas Jover; goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana Pavon; analyst Miguel Molina; and first-team coach Gabriel Heinze, who joined the coaching staff last summer. Aside from Heinze, the others last signed new contracts less than 18 months ago, seven months after Arteta penned his current deal at the Emirates.
