Arsenal consider January loan for Madueke as Juventus and Atletico monitor

Published 15 September 2026

Arsenal are considering a January loan move for winger Noni Madueke, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid monitoring the situation, according to reports. The England international has made only four appearances for the Gunners this season, totaling 100 minutes of playing time, as he struggles for regular minutes behind Bukayo Saka. Sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside that both Atletico Madrid and Juventus are considering potential January moves for Madueke, with loan deals, possibly including an option to buy, viewed as the most realistic formula. No formal negotiations have taken place at this stage. Madueke, 24, joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the 2025 summer transfer window for around £52 million. He was brought in to provide cover for Saka and received significant minutes last season due to injuries to the first-choice winger. However, with Saka now fully fit and in form, Madueke's role has been reduced to that of a squad player under head coach Mikel Arteta. Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in a loan, particularly if Arsenal are willing to attach an option to buy at a figure below Premier League valuations.
