Apple is set to unveil its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra, at a special event on September 9, 2026, marking the tech giant's long-anticipated entry into the foldable market. The device, which will be presented by incoming CEO John Ternus, is expected to go on sale later this year with a starting price between $2,200 and $2,500. The iPhone Ultra features a book-style design with two screens: an internal 7.8-inch display that opens to reveal a larger viewing area and a 6.1-inch outer screen for standard smartphone use. According to reports, the device aims to address a common criticism of foldables by featuring a virtually crease-free inner display.
