Apple launches iPhone 18 Pro camera exhibition in New York

Apple has launched a photography exhibition titled "What Holds Us" in New York City to showcase the camera capabilities of its new iPhone 18 Pro. The exhibition, which opened on September 18, 2026, features original work shot entirely on the device by three professional photographers and is curated by Kathy Ryan, the former longtime director of photography for The New York Times Magazine. The exhibition runs from September 18 through September 20 at 456 West 18th Street in New York. Following its New York debut, Apple has announced the exhibition will travel to London and Shanghai in the coming months. The featured photographers are Alex Prager, Jack Davison, and Jimmy Chin. Each was given early access to the iPhone 18 Pro to create work exploring the theme of human connection. The exhibition is designed to demonstrate the range of creative possibilities enabled by the phone's new camera system, which includes a variable aperture. Jimmy Chin, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker and adventure photographer, contributed images shot in the Bugaboo Mountains of British Columbia.
