Apple Keeps Hide My Email on iCloud.com After Feedback

Apple has revised its plan to consolidate the email domains for two of its privacy-focused services, deciding to keep the iCloud Hide My Email feature on its current domain after receiving community feedback. The company announced on August 24, 2026, that it will no longer move Hide My Email addresses to the new private.icloud.com domain, a change it had originally outlined in June. However, the transition for Sign in with Apple addresses to the new domain will proceed as planned later this year. The original plan, announced in mid-June, was to move newly generated addresses for both Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email to private.icloud.com, unifying them under a single domain.
