Apple Corps plans larger Beatles Story in Liverpool for 2028
Apple Corps announced plans on October 20, 2026, to take over The Beatles Story in 2027 and move the Liverpool attraction to a larger city-centre site in 2028. The company also plans a separate Yellow Submarine-themed viewing experience at St Johns Beacon. The Beatles Story is currently based at Albert Dock. Apple Corps says it will relocate the attraction to the former St Johns Market site, opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. The planned venue will cover 100,000 square feet, more than four times the size of the current attraction. Apple Corps says the new experience will use immersive technology, original artefacts and reconstructed sets to trace the band’s history, from postwar Liverpool through Hamburg and Beatlemania to international fame. Planned recreations include locations such as The Cavern, Abbey Road and Shea Stadium. Some sets and props are expected to come from Sam Mendes’s four Beatles films, scheduled for worldwide cinema release in April 2028. The company says the Beacon attraction will offer a 360-degree view of Liverpool and operate separately from The Beatles Story. Apple Corps has not announced financial terms for taking over the existing attraction....
