The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed senior IPS officer Anurag Kumar as the new Commissioner of Police for Delhi, effective immediately. Kumar, a 1994-batch officer of the AGMUT cadre, succeeds Satish Golcha, who has been directed to report to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for his next assignment.
