Anna Murphy and Diego Caixeta win The Traitors Ireland

Anna Murphy and Diego Caixeta won the second season of The Traitors Ireland, sharing a reported €45,850 prize after the September 22 finale. Murphy says she plans to put part of her winnings toward IVF with her partner after they work toward buying a house, while Caixeta hopes to use his share to take his husband on honeymoon. The pair secured the prize after identifying themselves to each other as Faithfuls in the final stage of the game. They were the last contestants left, following the departure of Traitors Carla Geary and Pauric O’Meara. Diego turned against Pauric at the fire pit, while Carla had been eliminated earlier in the finale. Murphy, a 27-year-old postal worker from Dublin, said the money would ease the pressure of saving for a home and fertility treatment at the same time. She described IVF as a future plan, after the couple first work toward buying a house, and said they hoped to go ring shopping. The reports do not establish whether or when they will proceed with treatment. Caixeta, a physician associate who lives in Cork, said he hoped to take his husband, Denis Ryan, on honeymoon. Ryan also competed in the season and was eliminated earlier in the game.
