Anchorage Digital Partners With Frgmnt for Institutional Stablecoin Access

Published 11 September 2026

Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered U.S. crypto bank, has integrated the Frgmnt protocol to provide institutional clients with custody, minting, redemption, and staking services for its fUSD and sfUSD stablecoins. The partnership, announced on September 11, 2026, aims to bridge decentralized finance yield opportunities with regulated institutional infrastructure. The integration allows institutional clients to hold, mint, stake, unstake, and redeem fUSD directly within Anchorage Digital's custody platform without setting up a separate arrangement. Frgmnt is a stablecoin protocol built on the Base network that issues fUSD against USDC collateral, deploying the backing across onchain lending markets to generate yield. Users who stake fUSD receive sfUSD, an instrument that accrues rewards from these underlying strategies. Frgmnt reported that sfUSD was generating a 13.32% annual percentage rate as of September 4, 2026, though yields are subject to fluctuations based on market conditions. The protocol currently operates in a capped, invite-only beta phase with approximately 100,000 in total value locked, according to DeFiLlama data.
