Amazfit Unveils Dual Solar AMOLED Smartwatch at $649.99

Amazfit has introduced the T-Rex Dual Solar, which it describes as the world's first AMOLED smartwatch with a dual-sided solar charging system, combining solar collection through the display and through a glass-ceramic back plate. The premium expedition watch launched on September 22, 2026, priced at $649.99 in the US through Amazfit.com and Amazon. Pricing and availability in other regions have not been confirmed. The device is aimed at long-distance and multiday exploration, pairing up to 25 days of typical battery life with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display reaching up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Under Amazfit's typical-use testing, three hours of daily exposure at 50,000 lux extends battery life from up to 25 days to up to 34 days through the front solar panel, with the rear panel boosting it further. The rear panel has twice the solar collection area of the front, and a woven lanyard lets users attach the watch to gear so the back plate stays exposed to sunlight. A Solar Priority Mode places the watch in an ultralow-power state to maximize off-wrist solar recovery.
