All That star Christy Knowings' cause of death revealed

Christy Knowings, a former star of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series "All That," died on August 11 from cardiac arrest following a severe asthma attack. She was 46 years old. Her death certificate, obtained by People magazine, lists acute hypoxic respiratory failure and status asthmaticus as conditions leading to her passing, with asthma identified as the underlying cause. According to reports from TMZ and family members, Knowings was hospitalized on August 7 after suffering an asthma attack that resulted in brain damage. She was placed on life support at a Los Angeles-area hospital. Her family made the decision to remove her from life support four days later, and she died on August 11. Her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, announced her passing on Facebook on August 12. Knowings was a beloved member of the "All That" cast for three seasons, from 1997 to 1999. She joined the show after appearing in "And Now This," a sketch comedy special from Rosie O'Donnell produced by Nickelodeon. On "All That," she played several memorable characters, including Jessica and Penny Lane in the recurring "Whateverrr!!!" sketches alongside Amanda Bynes, and newscaster Brenda Stone.
