Afghanistan added to ACC presidency rotation

Afghanistan has been formally added to the rotation for the presidency of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), a landmark governance decision that expands the regional body's leadership pool. The move was approved at the ACC's Annual General Meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 22, 2026. The decision means the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is now among the Test-playing full members eligible to hold the council's top administrative position. The presidency rotation was previously limited to the cricket boards of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
