Admiral Krishna Swaminathan assumed command as the 27th Chief of the Naval Staff on Sunday, succeeding Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi upon his retirement after a 41-year career. The change of command ceremony included a wreath-laying at the National War Memorial.
