Adani Airports Raises $1 Billion From Global Investors
Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), the airport arm of Adani Enterprises, has secured binding agreements to raise approximately $1 billion (Rs 9,825 crore) in primary equity from a consortium of domestic and global investors. The deal, announced on Wednesday, values AAHL at a pre-money equity valuation of around $18 billion, establishing a significant institutional benchmark for the airport platform. The consortium includes Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek, and funds managed by BlackRock. Upon completion of the transaction, which will occur in three tranches, these investors are expected to collectively hold about 5.54% of AAHL. The final tranche is anticipated to be completed by July 2027. This infusion of capital is earmarked for expanding and modernizing airport infrastructure across AAHL's portfolio. Funds will also support the development of integrated airport-city ecosystems and the scaling of passenger-facing and other non-aeronautical businesses, including ground handling services.
