17-year-old fatally shot, girls stabbed in Brooklyn

A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot inside a Brooklyn restaurant on Wednesday night, and three teenage girls were stabbed in a separate, unrelated incident just blocks away, according to police. The violent evening in East New York left one dead and four injured, with authorities searching for suspects in the shooting while making an arrest in the stabbing case. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. at Hakims restaurant at 514 New Lots Avenue. Police said officers responded to a dispute outside the premises and discovered Ahmir Jordan, 17, with a gunshot wound to the head inside the restaurant. Jordan, who lived in Bedford-Stuyvesant, was pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. A 35-year-old man was also injured, suffering a laceration from shattered glass as he attempted to flee the scene during the shooting. He was treated for his injury. Authorities are searching for two male suspects in connection with the fatal shooting. The suspects were described as wearing dark-colored clothing and blue surgical masks. They fled the scene on foot toward Bradford Street.
